The Other 15 Hours – Suzanne Robichaud, RCH
If what we think repeatedly becomes automatic, what thought patterns are you practicing all day long?

A daily meditation, self-hypnosis or journaling practice can be so beneficial. Once you have gotten yourself to the place where it has become automatic, and you are actually doing it consistently you will notice a huge change in your life.
Some of those benefits include:
*Strengthening your concentration and focus
*Experiencing a peaceful/blissful state, which is good for mind and body,
*The creation of a pathway to this feeling so that you can access it when you choose easily
*So much creativity and the opportunity to look within on a regular basis to check in with yourself… and these are just a few of the amazing benefits.
But that’s only 10, 30 or maybe 60 minutes of your day. What is your mind thinking about and focused on the rest of your day? Say you get a solid 8 hours of sleep, you meditate one hour, that leaves another 15 hours of the day that you are training your mind, OR you are running on the programs you already created.
So what are you focusing on as you go throughout your day? What or how does it make you feel? What happens around you that pulls you away from how you felt during your meditation?
The rest of your day (in a non-overwhelming/another thing to do way!) is a great time to strengthen your mind and to create the reactions and responses you want to have.
Start by noticing what pulls you away from how you want to be feeling.
Did you take something personally? Did you compare yourself to someone else? Did you get triggered and now you are caught in a negative thought loop? Did something around you remind you of something that hurt you in the past, and now you are thinking about it and re-feeling it all over again?
You have approximately 15 hours a day to change these things, and these things take effort to change because
1) Your subconscious mind is designed to keep you the same
2) They are engrained well because you repeated these thoughts, or similar emotion-evoking thoughts over a long period of time.
Now, how do you WANT to be feeling?
When you catch yourself focusing on the things you do not want to be focusing on, having feelings you do not want to have (that’s your conscious mind catching that) STOP and choose to think about something that evokes a feeling you want to be feeling. This does not have to be more work, or stressful. This can simply be something you do when you catch yourself or are in the mood to do it. Find a better feeling thought. Create an affirmation that evokes a better feeling inside of you. And Practice replacing it.
And if you practice this anytime you catch yourself throughout the day, think about how good you will be at this. Your subconscious mind learns through repetition and/or experience. So repeat, repeat, and repeat the patterns or responses you want to have any time you can. That is hours of the day you can be practicing/training your mind to be the way you want it to be.
Once you repeat the new response enough (studies differ on how often) it will become your new response and then you will not have to work on that anymore. One less thing to pull you away from how you want to be feeling! And once it is in your mind it is there for good!
It does not have to be hard, it does not have to be work. Just do your best, you can change the things you want to change… or you can change nothing at all!
This is how to do the work and make the changes to your mind consciously. It can be done, but it takes time and it takes practice. If you want to make these changes faster and easier, hypnotherapy is the perfect tool to help you achieve fast results. When you are in a state of Hypnosis, you are working directly with your Subconscious mind, that part of your mind that holds your automatic thoughts, responses, beliefs, and behaviors. During a hypnotherapy session, you can heal deep wounds from your past that created the patterns and responses you want to change. Once the healing is done, there is less or no emotion behind those thoughts which makes it so much easier to change the thought or response. As well, when you are in a state of hypnosis, you are very suggestible, allowing the patterns and beliefs to go directly into the subconscious mind making them automatic.

How To Stop Taking Things Personally – Suzanne Robichaud, RCH

Taking Things Personally, we have all done it. It’s when somebody has said or done something and we automatically think that they had a hidden agenda. Or, we automatically think they are trying to hurt us in some way. Whatever is behind it, we believe that they were directing it at us. Taking Things Personally is when we take something that someone else said or did and we give it deep meaning and our power.
For many of us Taking Things Personally happens from time to time, it bothers us for a bit, but then we let it go and move on. For others, it’s a bit more often. For some people Taking Things Personally can happen the moment they step outside and join the rest of the world. From the wrong look of a stranger or being cut off in traffic. It can happen with strangers, co-workers and family members throughout their day.
If we find ourselves consistently taking things personally, we need to stop and ask ourselves what feeling is being evoked. When I am Taking Things Personally, what unhealed would is being poked every time these things happen? How is this making me feel?
Often, taking things personally is because of insecurities around feeling like we are not good enough, smart enough, or that we don’t matter. Taking Things Personally can also be triggered by having unresolved feelings from the other person. It can also mean that we have some healing to do.
Now, this does not have to be a big deal or scary. But it is an opportunity for us to grow, it is an opportunity for us to gain greater inner peace. You see as we resolve any wounds from past experiences, we are less likely to be triggered, less likely to Take Things Personally. One less thing from outside of us to affect our inner peace.
And that is how this works. When these things come up, especially when we can’t let something go, or when we see something repeated over and over again, it is an opportunity to heal, to grow and to make achieving and staying in a peaceful state that much easier. This is a perfect example of how when we change what’s happening on the inside, what’s happening around us will change.
Now, a key factor in all of this is the automatic part. We automatically take it personally. We automatically have a reaction to the other person. When it is automatic, that lets us know it is seated in our subconscious. In other words, this reaction is coming from the subconscious part of our mind. Which lets us know we are responding from something that we are holding onto from the past.
Whether it has to do with a specific person or a specific theme. Understanding your subconscious mind is so powerful. Understanding that our subconscious mind holds on to everything we have learned, everything we have experienced and everything we have felt.
I am sure you can close your eyes and think of a little puppy or a baby and get a good feeling inside. That is because whenever we are around a little puppy or baby they do make us feel good and that feeling gets anchored into our subconscious and now it is in us. We can just think about a puppy or baby and that feeling is evoked. It is super important to point out that our subconscious holds onto positive and negative emotions. That is why being in touch with and understanding your subconscious mind and your emotions is so important.
Hypnotherapy is all about working directly with the subconscious mind, that part of our mind where all these reactions are held. Often, if we have an experience that makes us feel uncomfortable, the subconscious part of our mind will hold onto that feeling to keep us safe. So that when we are around something or someone that makes us feel that way, we will get a signal from within to leave the scene. But, the subconscious part of our mind has no perception of time. This part of our mind does not know we are not still the child being bullied at school. This part of our mind does not know that something happened 10 or 20 years ago.
Hypnotherapy is the perfect tool to release old emotions still being held onto by the subconscious mind. While in Hypnosis (a natural state) we can use our imagination and heal the wound and release the pain. Allowing you to be free from Taking Things Personally.
Life without taking things personally is so freeing, trust me, I was one of those people that would take everything personally. And now that I no longer do that, it has had a huge effect on my life… definitely making it easier to stay in a place of inner peace. And it is so freeing to not be bothered so easily by the outside world.
I created a Hypnotherapy session to help you free your mind from Taking Things Personally. You can use it anytime something comes up to train your mind to no longer Take Things Personally. One less thing to pull you away from your inner peace.

How Optimism Kept Me Going – Suzanne Robichaud, RCH

Wow! It has been a heck of a journey getting to this moment. The moment when I finally get to create, edit and add a Meditation or Hypnotherapy Session to my online store. All on my own, in my own time, as I feel inspired. This has been my goal for years now. I have been working towards making this happen for so long. Over 12 years practicing as a hypnotherapist, creating and building a YouTube Channel knowing that at some point this was the destination. But, it has not been an easy path, actually, it almost seemed like I was being forced to stop… again and again.
When I very first decided it was time to make it happen, I hired a web designer and was ready to go all in. I even recorded an album with some colleagues to be one of the first products. I was so ready and inspired … but just as we were getting started I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. This put a bit of a pause on things as I had to focus on my health and healing. So we wrapped up the website but never completed the actual store. Time went on, I healed and got back into life, seeing clients in my private practice, taking care of my home, helping with my family. Things seemed to be back on track, so I got inspired and motivated again. This time I decided I would go into the studio and have some sessions professionally recorded. I would hire a new web designer with more experience with e-commerce and even pay to have SEO work done for my website. I was all in, in fact, this was my gift to myself for turning 50… I was so ready to finally make this happen.
But, sure enough, just as we got started I got sick. I got an infection and antibiotics did not work. Again I was in the hospital instead of making my dream a reality. Not only did I become very ill, everything seemed to be going wrong. I honestly had moments where I felt like I was going to give up, it really felt like the universe was trying to tell me to stop. Even though I know that is not how it works… it sure felt like it. But, I got past that and decided that this time I was not stopping. I was not putting things on hold, this was not going to stop me. There was no way that I was not meant to be doing this. After all, I get messages every day from people writing to tell me how I have changed and even saved their lives… there was no way that this is not what I was meant to be doing!
So I persevered. I kept going. I got better. I got some sessions recorded in the studio. I got my web guy to put them up on my website in my shop…. I was so excited! Finally, it was happening, the next step was for him to show me how to add my own products to my store and I was all set.
It was such an amazing feeling. And, people were actually buying the sessions. I even had a few reviews on google. I could not believe it, all that hard work and things were finally working out.
But wait…. the emails started coming in, people were paying but they were not receiving the actual downloads. Thank goodness I was only making a few sales a day so I could manage this easily. But, trying to get this sorted with my web guy was not so easy. We were now done with payment so he seemed to have lost interest in helping me any longer and I was left with a website I did not know how to use yet and a store that was not working. REALLY!!! How did I get to this place again! My web designer and I decided to part ways, not in a nice way, unfortunately, and I moved on to find yet another web designer.
Feeling completely defeated, I had to keep going, I had invested so much at this point and I was not frigging giving up on my dream. So I found another web designer. They unfortunately, showed me how the previous web designer did not actually do the SEO work I paid for and that parts of the website would never work because he was using a faulty template. I had to start over from scratch! Unbelievable, how could this even be?
But, I just kept going, I definitely had some days where I stayed in my pj’s and ate a lot of chocolate but I got back up and kept going… and here we are today. Right here, right now, in this glorious moment. Where I just added to my efficiently running shop on my beautiful website a Hypnotherapy Session that I wrote, I recorded, I edited, and I added to my shop all on my own, on my own time as I felt inspired! I made It! I did it! Yes! And I am so grateful that I have always been an optimist! Because the letters from people writing me along with being blessed with optimism definitely kept me going.
This feels like the best Hypnotherapy Session I have ever created. So proud and so happy to share it.
